Google’s Android operating system, originally designed to power smartphones, will help future General Motor cars to provide in-car safety and navigation services. The Chevrolet Volt, GM’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, will be the first to see GM’s OnStar service paired with Google’s Android.
